Burbank's only "No Party Preference" Voter Guide
Dear Burbankers,
This November election may be one of the most important Burbank has ever faced.
If we don’t show up, we risk a Burbank City Council increasingly influenced by the DSA-LA (Democratic Socialists of America–Los Angeles) and other outside special-interest organizations. That means decisions about our neighborhoods, housing, taxes, public safety, and quality of life could be driven by interests outside of Burbank—not by the people who live here.
The stakes don’t stop with City Council. BUSD is facing a serious financial crisis, and we are at risk of losing local control of our schools if we continue electing leaders who make the same decisions that got us here.
I am a lifelong Burbank resident. I have rented here, owned a home here, and raised my children here. I know the Burbank we love, and I don’t want to see our city lose its identity or local control.
I am also a lifelong Democrat who never voted outside my party until recently. This guide may recommend candidates from different parties because party labels should never matter more than the person, their policies, and what is best for Burbank.
That is why we created My Burbank Ballot—the first and only “No Party Preference” voter guide.
We are not affiliated with any political party. We are simply here to help Burbank voters cut through the noise, get informed, and make their own decisions.

State Senator 20th District - TONY RODRIGUEZ (Menjivar voted for SB 1361 which takes away local control from cities. This is unacceptable and she needs to be voted out for that)
State Assembly, 44th District - CAROLYN DANIELS (Schultz voted for SB 1361 which takes away local control from cities. This is unacceptable and she needs to be voted out for that)
Measure C - YES (They 2028 Olympics will bring lots of tourism, and we need the revenue to increase 911 emergency and first responders to handle the load)
Measure CC - This is tough. So here are your options:
Vote NO if you want city elections to stay the way they are. This is what I recommend.
Vote YES if you want the city to have the option of adopting other ways of voting like rank-choice voting.
Personally, I vote NO because every time we change voting, it confuses people and decreases the number of people who vote. It also give the DSA an advantage to manipulate the system.
Measure CD - NO (Burbank should NOT go to council districts. This method has been a disaster for our BUSD elections, and only favors the incumbents to stay on council. It does not allow for the best and most qualified to run, just those who live in the correct district. DISTRICTS ARE A BAD IDEA)
